Simple privacy for local-first apps.
Micro Habit Hub and The Split are designed to work on-device. No personal data is transmitted to external servers, and no account is required to use the apps. There are no ads, no tracking, and everything stays on your Apple device.
What data we collect
We do not collect personal data through remote servers. Micro Habit Hub and The Split do not require an account, and they do not upload, transmit, or share the information you create inside the apps as part of their normal use.
How the apps work
All app content, settings, habits, reminders, decisions, and related usage data remain on your device only. Processing happens locally on the iPhone, Apple Watch, or other supported Apple device, which means your data stays under your control instead of being stored in a remote database.
Notifications and Live Activities
Micro Habit Hub can surface information through Live Activities on the Lock Screen, and it also includes a setting that allows users to disable Live Activities and use simple notifications instead. These features work from information already stored on your device.
Third parties
We do not send your app data to analytics vendors, advertising networks, or external databases as part of the app experience described on this site. In other words, the core app data you create is not used for ad targeting, behavioral profiling, or remote usage tracking through the app experience presented here.
Your control
Because the apps are local only, you stay in control of your data on your own device. If you delete the app or remove its local data, that information is removed from the device completely.
Tradeoff of local-only storage
Because the apps are local-only, your data does not automatically sync across different devices. If you use multiple iPhones, iPads, or other devices, the information you create in the app stays on the device where it was entered unless you manually recreate it there. This tradeoff is part of keeping the experience private and self-contained. If enough people request it, I may add iCloud sync in the future.
